Balaena

These fishes live in freezing water of Arctic. They are capable of breaking 7 inches thick ice with their body. These bowheads are slow breeders and maturity may not come for 20 years. A single calf is born after 3 or 4 years. Females are larger than males otherwise the two sexes are of similar appearance.
